Inspired Ceramics filled with sunshine
MAISON BISOUS is a Los Angeles-based ceramic and sculptural art studio created in 2017 by French designer Olivia Cognet.
Each of Olivia’s handmade creations is a unique work of art, the snapshot of a precious moment captured in a world of fast ‘everything’.
More than a ceramic studio, MAISON BISOUS is a manifesto for slow life: Create, don’t produce /// Curate, don’t consume /// prefer Handmade.
Born under the Provencal sun, the concept of
MAISON BISOUS was heavily inspired by the traditional pottery of Vallauris, French capital of ceramics, which conquered the hearts of many including Pablo Picasso’s.
MAISON BISOUS’ handmade modern craft is now baked in southern California where it’s soaked up inspiration from Mid-Century modern and the breathtaking rose gold sunsets.
AT THE CROSSROADS OF FASHION,
ART AND DESIGN
The same way as it does in fashion, a home has become a personal space and our decors resemble us, define us.
MAISON BISOUS wish is to offer a unique creative vision throughout different medium.
What is art today? What is fashion?
Where is the boundary between decor and embellishment, classics and eccentricities?
The answers to those questions are changing and evolving everyday, following trends and technologies.
But one element keeps constant throughout this ever-evolving market: luxury and craft are uniqueness.
MAISON BISOUS wants to establish a relationship with their buyers, create a discussion and offer
to the future owner a relationship with the piece he is acquiring.
